I don't vote for people and personalities.
I vote policy positions and ideology.
Even so, personal demeanor and deportment has to count for something.
The President of the United States has to have at least the bare minimum of probity and the rectitude to be viable in the office.
Look at Trump.
He has no standards of morality whatsoever.
He dresses like an unmade bed.
If his lips are moving, he's lying, and he's really terrible at it.
His use of language would be substandard in any environment. He graduated from Wharton with that
level of articulation? My children spoke better than he as pre-schoolers.
He doesn't have the attention span to read a briefing, much less a book.
He's a Putin sycophant, a money launderer, a felon, a business failure, a golf cheat, and a craven coward.
How classless must a person be to not find him repugnant?
Trump voters are genuinely the dregs of society. They would have to be to tolerate his inadequacies.
It's no wonder that they come from the caves of Appalachia and the dreary plains of flyover country.
