I am doing quite well. I really do not feel I failed. I do feel I have to keep trying or I will fail. Maybe past generations could go on autopilot in the second half of their lives. I wish I had gotten my PHD, but my old school is offering to let me come back and complete it. My main job could be more interesting, but it is somewhat interesting, and I have side jobs that are more interesting. I do not feel like a failure, because I can save more than enough money to take care of my family.
You can hope for that. Wouldn't that be great?
