Buddhists who believe in reincarnation, not all do, would understand that the lifetime two lifetimes ago was the "punishment" or "reward" for the life he lived three lifetimes ago. They've already served their time for that.

Because if they exist each lifetime carries it's own obligations and burdens, but not those of the previous lives.

For instance all anyone is owed by the current generation is an equal chance and not a free ride becuase of what their ancestors endured because of others.

the generational hatred must end if we are to have any peace.
