Quit killing capitolism

that's fine, I will never accept the mass panic would cost mainstreet more than it has cost our grandkids to save wall street.

we bailed out wall street bankers with our grandkids money, mainstreet tightened their belts best they could. Maybe the economy would have gone down a good deal more. Then we'd have had a real revocery and not burdened our grandkids with an extra trillion.

Take a closer look at the TARP funds... roughly $205 billion was given to the banks (not a trillion). Of that, about $70b has been repaid with interest. Note: This does not include the money loaned to AIG or the autos.

AIG borrowed about $190b and repaid about $105 of it. The rest I would guess will come in time.

Out of the remaining amounts... I think Wells Fargo will repay its loan eventually, Citi is gone, BAC will not likely repay. All the hundreds of smaller banks... who knows.
