I really liked Jerry Ford. Probably the last of the great moderate republicans, in the tradition of Eisenhower and Nelson Rockefeller.
Ford was just what this country needed, in the wake of the Nixon Adminstration's crimes and scandals: An honest, competent man, who provided a steady hand of leadership on the country. I think history will be kind to him.
