A USC legend and All-American. In 1970 he ran for 135 yards and 2 TD's at Legion Field in Birmingham against Alabama in a USC victory. At the time Alabama did not have any black players. An Alabama assistant famously said "Cunningham did more to integrate the South in 60 minutes than MLK did in 20 years". (in Bear Bryant's defense he actually recruited Cunningham along with other black players but this performance helped push acceptance from others)
