Race and Racism

I love this topic. You can hear the word "race" when you say racism or racist, but many lefties have attempted to remove race from racism. Many lefties will imply that Mexicans or Muslims are races, when they are not. Racism is about race, and is a belief that one race is suprior to another. Thoughts? What do you think racism is?

Racism, bigotry , misogyny and xenophobia all stem from the same mindset.
An irrational fear of those who are different that then leads to blind hatred.
You can parse words all day long, but hey are all eggs in the same basket, racist.

So you don't think racism needs to involve race?

In my experience, if you talk to any racist for long enough you will find that they are xenophobes, ethnic bigots and misogynists as well.
Though technically they are different shortcomings of humanity, usually they all reside in the same stupid fearful person.
Parsing the words does nothing to exonerate anyone holding any of these shortcomings, racist.

If you are correct that racists tend to be bigoted in these other ways as well, does there need to be race involved in order for him to be a racist?

Technically? , yes.
Pragmatically? In the matter of everyday discourse, racist seems to cover those who tend to harbour all four as a kind of practical conversational shorthand because everyone understands what the person is like.
I have found that it is extremely rare that it would be incorrect, but if you find yourself offended because someone has called you a racist when all you have demonstrated at that time was ethnic bigotry, you go right ahead and object, racist.

I see that your signature shows the correct meaning of racist. Why does it not include all of the other forms of bigotry that you mentioned?

Technically my sig is the proper definition of racism, and as I said, applying it to other forms of bigoted stupidity is merely a convenient shorthand that is seldom wrong as applied to any given individual.

For example you are well known to be a racist. I'll bet a dollar against a donut that you are an ethnic bigot as well and most likely a xenophobe too.

I am in a multi racial multi ethnicity family, so I am very accustomed to having generalizations made about me and my family.

Do you think misogynists are racist?

mi·sog·y·nist

məˈsäjənəst/

noun

1.

a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against women.

RACISM IS NEARLY NON EXISTENT IN 2018. Notice I said nearly. There are only a handful of uneducated rubes who judge others by color. The problem is not racism, the problem is classism.

"...ethnic bigotry..."??

Is that like "White Hispanic", that the left invented?

How about "ear witness"??

"Social justice"??

etc.
