Rand Paul Money Bomb

How are you all doing?

Say what you want about Ron Paul, at least he is not a sellout like most of the scumbags in congress. I can think of only two others that I might say the same about, Kucinich and maybe Sanders (though I have not heard enough from Sanders to be sure). Contribute if you can or just pass it around. Received in email....

Congressman Ron Paul

Dear Friend of Liberty,

Today is a critical day in our fight to take back our country!

This evening, twenty three Republican US Senators are holding a $500 per plate fundraiser in Washington DC for Trey Grayson – my son Rand's opponent in the Kentucky GOP Primary. This big-money, insiders' event will be full of lobbyists and special interests The forces of big government and big banks know who they want in Washington, and they are pulling out all the stops to keep Rand out.

To fight back and to overcome this, many thousands of our grassroots activists are holding a Money Bomb today to help Rand deliver a powerful message to the Establishment. I am contributing, and I hope you will too.

Please visit www.RandPaul2010.com and donate as much as possible. Together, we can tell the Washington Establishment that our Liberty IS NOT FOR SALE and that we will make whatever sacrifice is needed to send Dr. Rand Paul to the United States Senate.

In Liberty,

Ron Paul

Paul doesn't need to sell out to do his part to destroy government. At least the "gang of six" Democrats are good enough capitalists to make a buck while doing it.

And in a nutshell that explains why you don't know a f^#$ing thing about capitalism.

Okay, then. But you shouldn't put all the Gang of six on the Democrats. Half are Republicans. Or maybe you just meant the Dems are the sellouts. The Republicans in that group are sellouts too.

We need a gang of honest men/women, regardless of ideology. I am going to send Kucinich some money, in a mail in form, so i can explain that I hate his politics but admire his integrity.

The difference I guess I see is that everyone expects Republicans to be sellouts to industry. It's basically the entire purpose of the Republican party. They get lots of money from industry to protect industry, and exploit religion to get the peons to vote against their personal best interest when they can.

Kucinish is a good man, but his ideas aren't worth wasting your money on. Politics, it's said, is the art of the possible. Kucinish is no Rembrandt in this regard, that's for damn sure. Another good, honest congressman is John Conyers.

At least Snow is entertaining the idea of voting for reform IF it doesn't get in the way of industry profits. Nobody else in that party cept maybe one more is even interested in considering it for a lot of reasons (one of which is the money they get paid to their campaign coffers to protect the status quo).

Ron Paul, and libertarians more broadly, need a better message thatn "at least he's not a crook" if they ever seek to be viable.

Ron Paul is right on a few things, like foreign policy. And if one admires pure, ideological libertariansim, I guess that can qualify for integrity..

RP's problem is the libertarian message will never sell. After the shit storm that just hit us, nobody is buying that a self-regulating, unfettered capitalist market system is the nirvana of economic and social progress. What's his solution for healthcare? Free markets, and less regulation. Sorry, This is an ideology that will never be taken seriously.

Plus, I could never give money to a guy who doesn't believe in evolution, and dismisses the science of climate change out of hand.

I'll definetly take Ron Paul over Tom Delay. But, if I'm going to shed some bucks, its going to be on Bernie Sanders, Barbara Boxer, and various and sundry other liberals and leftists.

I would dearly love for you to cite and link sources that shows Dr. Pauls attempt to destroy government, as defined by the constitution.

Oh, and here is what I think of politicians these days:

Five Surgeons are discussing the types of people they like to Operate on. The first surgeon says: I like to see accountants on my operating table because when I open them up, everything inside is numbered.

The second responds: 'Yeah, but you should try Electricians! Everything inside them is color-coded.

The third surgeon says: 'No, I really think librarians are the best; Everything inside them is in alphabetical order.

The fourth surgeon chimes in: 'You know, I like construction workers ... those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over.

But the fifth surgeon shut them all up when he observed: 'You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains and no spine. Plus, the head and the butt are interchangeable.'

Oh wait, maybe I should have put that on the Million Physicians thread ... :)
