Randall Paul sure has been quiet?

Has anyone hear from Randall Paul since he was on tape whispering with Mitch McConnell about "winning this thing" and poll testing the word "negotiation"?

That dude sure got quiet all the sudden. How did he vote yesterday?

He was in a bad position, if he voted yes to open the government his base, the radicals will hate him.

If he voted no to not open the government, the middle will realize he is a radical and does not have their best interests at heart. He had to choose, be with those who shut the government down or be against them....

What did he chose?

Tea Party wackjob Sarah Palin suggested today they are going to primary Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. Will Randall support his cohort or the challenger? Will he stand with the Tea Party or with the rank and file of the Republicans?

So all he needed was a tea party challenger.

I just wonder where Randall will stand on this one.
Ky. isn't all dumb hicks, the south isn't all Tea Party despite what some of the stupid regionalists here seem to think.

McConnel isn't going to lose to Tea Party, because the Tea Party is now seen as weak, and passe' (sort of), and the people of Ky. are not going to let the Senator with his senority be ousted for another nOOb Repub.

This is a close race, the independents haven't moved all that much, but you can pretty much bet these are the candidates

Hes been quiet trying to keep his presidential aspirations from exploding like Ted Cruz did. Rand Paul is alot smarter than Cruz he sat back and watched Cruz not only destroy his popularity nationally but the GOPs as well.

good point. Rand Paul is new libertarian, Tea Party is old school ultra-conservatives.

Repub party is now factionalized, I would ass u me, the young people ID more with libertarianism ( based on what I see on this board), so the Repub party is now churning out the Tea Party.

The shutdown helped to flush them out more quickly

It appears he has thrown his lot in with the Tea Party wacks.

I dont know Jarod to be honest, but I do know this that its not always what you do or what you've done sometimes its about how you go about it and how its percieved and recieved by the flock.
Rand Paul gave teddy cruz a lesson in how not to be an asshole in front of the entire population and still vote the same. Teddy wont learn he was born a canadian asshole and brought that with him to texas :)

McConnell is up for a tough fight with the Democratic nominee, muchless a primary battle.

Yes, the election is still more than a year away and we are already off the issues and onto the most important aspect of any possible election--the horserace. Who's up! Who's down! Who cares what their positions are or what they think or why they think or even if they can think. None of that is important. All that matters is who is leading in the polls. And remember this story is coming from The Hill a publication that should specialize in politics and even they are going with the horse race aspect of the coming election. No wonder people are turned off. And just wait until they start deluging Kentucky with thousands of TV commercials. And I mean thousands a day!At least they won't have to compete with a Presidential election too!

It's a close Senate election, with the Senate Minority Leader, very possibly losing his seat. Being a Progressive, you might care, might not - but it's not insignificant.

IDEAS???? you want to talk about ideas?? - so do I (and some voters at least) - but you know how the media covers these things..horserace indeed.

Randal Paul voted with Ted Cruz to keep the govt closed. He may have just sealed the end to his presidential aspersions.
