I know it came from an SNL skit and she DID say it.
SNL does parody, and parody does NOT mean the thing they are mocking did not happen, it just means they present WHAT DID HAPPEN in a mocking and playful way.
Sarah Palin did say a version of 'I can see Russia from XYZ' and whether XYZ was her house, her front yard, or a hill in a certain area DOES NOT matter. The parody is making fun of the idea that 'being able to SEE Russia from any vantage =/= having any relevant experience to be VP'.
Word stuffing. It's better experience than YOU have!
