Ronald Reagan served 8 yrs. GHWB 4. Clinton attempted to rule as a traditional democrat but failed miserably after two yrs. and ruled as a republican. Took credit for “ending welfare as we know it”, “three strikes you’re out” incarcerating “super predators” that need to be “brought to heel”, “the era of big govt. is over”. Then we had 8 yrs of the neocon GWB. 8 hrs of Obamaism then 4 of *gasp* Trump. So in the last 40 yrs we’ve had 8 of a dem president 6 of which the republicans had complete control of Congress. This despite the fact the most populous state by far in the country is a one party state, which is imploding.

Clinton was most conservative in his first two years. He was always into the Third Way, which is a more moderate way of doing things. Both Clinton and Obama were the most conservative leaders in the Western World during their Presidencies. Bush and trump were not in the mainstream, PERIOD.

California is hardly a one party state, though Democrats are definitely the majority.

In the last 28 years, we have had a Democrat as President for 16 of them. In the last 8 elections, Democrats have won the popular vote 7 times. Democrats almost always win the nationwide popular vote at every level of government. Only by using gerrymandering can Republicans win.

Trump- A criminal, who became president.
 
Ike , Reagan, and Nixon had lots of scandals. However, it was Trump who put millionaires and lobbyists to head nearly every agency and bureau. If you want to establish a plutocracy, Trump was your man. Trump is not interested in policy so he was getting directives from someone else? Maybe Koch, Singer, we know it was the fabulously rich and powerful. Trump played golf and let someone else make the decisions. Who did you rightys really vote for?
Trump is a reality TV host who was clueless about how the government works. So he transferred his power to others. We wonder who was running America for 4 years.

Demmycrats elected two presidents because people hated George Bush and one because people hated Donald Trump.......they don't know how to run an election that's not about hating someone......

Democrats have been nominating calm, moderate, pragmatic, competent people. Republicans have been nominating out of hate. trump is a pure expression of hatred.
