That's the one silver lining: Trump sucks at governance, is way too lazy, and had virtually no significant legislative achievements for his first term, except a tax bill that mostly benefited bankers and tech billionaires.

They're going to pay for it by tariffs, since they laughed off the last request. Now that they've lost control over more than a third of their country, and most Mexicans would favor a U.S. intervention against the cartels and their murder squads, the sham 'government' in Mexico is quickly losing credibility among it's own people. We will get see how wonderful they treat all those fake 'refugees' when the U.S, stops feeding them, and sends them a few million more back.
The leftists of course won't lift a finger to help them or anybody else, as usual. There are more than Enough Democrats to sponsor these 'refugees', but none of them ever step up to do so; well, except for the pimps and pedoes being handed hundreds of thousands of children. When are you MAGAS going to learn the exporting country does NOT pay the tariffs they just add it on to the price of the goods they sell.
And those tariffs are going to add thousands to the price of a US auto, and not thousands but prices will go up and up.
You MAGAS cried inflation under Biden, well part of that was caused by COVID these price increases of 25,30,40, 60 % OR MORE are being done on PURPOSE .
And when they happen just remember it is what YOU MAGAS wanted, so you will have NO right to cry.

It will not happen in Felonious’ lifetime. The government will first have to procure the land through eminent domain. There has been a great deal of resistance from the landowners. It will be very expensive.

Think about this for a moment. trump says he is going to get Mexico to agree to take in immigrants he does not want, or he will impose tariffs against them... And then says he will impose tariffs against them anyway. So, what is their incentive to take in these immigrants who are not even Mexican? They get tariffs anyway.
trump does not seem to realize if you shoot the hostage, you cannot get a ransom for the hostage.
We have done this before, and Mexicans did not support America invading them. The fact is that America has a bad history of killing Mexicans to protect them, and Mexican instinctively oppose that.
Mexico has already taken in about as many refugees as the USA, but it is a smaller, poorer country.
The asylum seekers are almost all trying to get to Democratic strongholds, because they believe that is where they will get help.
Why aren't you complaining that an eight year old thread is still valid?
