I saw her perform live at a comedy club in Seattle before she got her TV show. She was funny! She inspired all the other comics to come back out and to an encore. Too bad she went to the dark side.

The FCC has been mandated to control the airwaves since 1934.

It is their responsibility to do so and they did when the loon, Kimmel, lied about the politics of the animal who shot Kirk.

Kimmel’s lie was not in the public interest and he was reminded of this.

The FCC did their job.

Trump misleads the public about a significant fact almost every time he opens his mouth. He's a proven fact checker's dream. His online record in this regard is at the top of the list.

Still, it should be obvious to anyone with a grain of intelligence that misstating "a significant fact" cannot be a standard for policing the airwaves, which it never has been. It's an invitation for political policing. You can be sure, for example, it would never be used as a corrective against the Trump Administration.

You do not understand their mandate, they are not allowed to threaten licenses due to criticism of political figures.

Anyway, the FCC does not supersede the U.S. Constitution.

The hypocrisy is amazing, from those who hated cancel culture.
