Remember when?

Remember when the liberal media was lying about Iraq, not reporting all the good news, and not reporting all the progress that was being made?

Remember the "Truth Tour"?: When rightwing talk radio hosts went on an expedition to Iraq, to report all the good news and progress that the liberal media was hiding from the american people?

Iraq now ranked second among world's failed states

Mon Jun 18,

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iraq has emerged as the world's second most unstable country, behind Sudan, more than four years after President George W. Bush ordered the U.S. invasion to topple Saddam Hussein, according to a survey released on Monday.

The 2007 Failed States Index, produced by Foreign Policy magazine and the Fund for Peace, said Iraq suffered a third straight year of deterioration in 2006 with diminished results across a range of social, economic, political and military indicators. Iraq ranked fourth last year.

It's sickening, really. If anything, the "liberal" media was, at a minimum, accurately reporting that things were falling apart in Iraq. IMO, they actually did a poor job, of NOT reportedly exactly how disasterous things were going.

This is what you get, america, for your investment of half a trillion dollars, and hundreds of thousands of people dead and maimed: The second most unstable country on the planet.

Maybe it's time for another Truth Tour? Surely if Michelle Malkin and Rush Limabugh go over there and leave the green zone, they can unearth some good news. Plus, they might get kidnapped, and put in cages before they get their heads cut off, which, also, entertainment.

No, no, no. No more "Truth Tours" from rightwing radio.

Haven't you heard the latest? Wingnut radio is saying that we "knew all along", this would be a long hard slog. It's hard work. Everyone knew Iraq was a gamble, and that things would get far worse before they got better. Besides, if we left, Iraq would collapse. Give us one more Friedman!
