Renters, Homeowners, and Ideology

I am having trouble locating statistics about which political party is on which side of the aisle. Anybody have any idea how to look this up? I am just curious if renters are more be more likely to be lefties vs righties, and of course I am looking for similar info for homeowners. Anybody?

Fascinating; homeowners are far more likely to be Republicans than renters (38% to 23%), while renters are more likely to be Democrats than homeowners (43% to 39%).

Only 25% of the voters living in homes valued under $50,000 identify with the Republican Party, while 53% of the voters living in homes valued over $300,000 identify with the Republican Party.

So this data suggests that Democrats are bigger losers than Republicans.

I wonder who is more likely to build a shining city on a hill?

I guess itt makes sense to me that lefties are less likely to own homes. It kinda fits in with some of the other things about lefties, like how lefties like to chew gum with their mouths open. Things like how they leave their rap music playing loudly after they vacate cars to fuel up, how they look less employable, and how they rob liquor stores.

I suspect that owning your first home, and paying your first real estate tax bill, is a turning point for many. It was for me.

My first house was in upstate NY and my property taxes were 27% of my PITI. We lived in farm country so got very few services for that. We had no water, sewer, trash pickup or police services. No library. The schools sucked. I started to ask what was I paying for, and didn't like the answers that I received.

Good point. Lotsa homeowners have gotten a forced awareness.

I thought all dems were highly sophisticated, wealthy, elites living in Silicon valley or in multi million dollar penthouses in Manhattan and repubs were red neck hillbillies on welfare. stupid me.

  That would be the wealthiest of us all, not your every day leftist failure.

Liberals tend to be younger, more urban, and more minority. Younger people own homes on a smaller percentage than do older folks. Urban folks rent more than suburban and rural folks. Minorities own homes at lower rates than whites.

Most of the richest suburbs I would say are liberal.
