i never needed to read the sexually explicit emails...

the original emails set off ALL KINDS OF RED FLAGS when i read them....didn't they to all of you? weren't they ENOUGH to cause concern?

Well, I thought they were a bit...what's the word I'm looking for? Overly friendly maybe?

I probably would have taken Foley aside and told him, hey Mark, what's with this overly friendly stuff? Why don't you stop being so friendly to these 16 year old boys? Be a bit more standoffish.

But I think all us friendly types get ourselves into trouble from time to time. In a harsh world, we're misunderstood. Because we're so friendly.

Is it so wrong to ask a high school football player for a picture of himself practicing?

Judging by the reaction of the PTA, I guess so! I'm still not allowed within 1000 feet of the school. Can you say, "uptight"?
