Well it can sound dumb, but if you total the amounts of the various "bailouts" and "stimulus" packages, and divide them by the number of US taxpayers, you get $250k per taxpayer! Personally, I think an influx of that proportion into the US economy, would have provided plenty of stimulus. I sure as hell would have rather had $250k in my pocket, than the Wooden Arrow industry! Wouldn't you? No... of course not! You'd rather let Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi decide how to spend your money!

Um... where did you learn your basic math skills?

If you had $1 trillion in stimulus/bailouts... that would equate to approximately $10k per tax payer... assuming 100,000,000 tax payers.
