OK, here’s just another thing that I drawl a line with the right, aside from policing the globe, spending like Democrats and ignoring the horrendous waste, fraud and abuse in the Military Industrial Complex, Republicans just like Democrats want to make the Constitution say what they want it to say, instead of what it actually says, i.e. abortion issues, gay marriages and now The Birth Citizenship issue. Here’s what the Constitution says,
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.......” (Amendment 14, U.S. Constitution) Note, there is no if’s and’s or but’s about it nor listed in the 14th amendment or anyplace else in the Constitution that even indicates that any President or Congress can change that by a Presidential Executive Order, or Congressional legislation, short of a Constitutional Amendment.
Some “Democrat like” Republican thinkers and promoters are attempting to make an argument that illegal immigrants aren’t for some reason, god only knows, aside from them under the jurisdiction of the United States, if they’re here illegally. I have to ask, Who in hell’s jurisdiction are they under then? We already know that the American Indian tribes aren’t necessarily under the jurisdiction of the United States because they have a some special agreements as being sovereign nations unto themselves by way of treaty. We also know that foreign diplomats are not necessarily under the jurisdiction of America’s laws by agreement between nations related to diplomatic immunity. There is no agreements or treaties between illegal immigrants and our government to ignore the citizenship by birth clause mandated by the 14th amendment.

OK, why aren’t the illegal immigrants under the jurisdiction of the United States, if they’re within the territory of the United States? I need to know! In my opinion, I think, ah, I know by reason of logic and the dictionary that children born in the United States by parents of illegal immigrants ARE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES, by the authority of amendment 14 of the United States Constitution, and that can only be amended by a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT!
If they’re not under the jurisdiction of the United States, as some Republican’s wisdom would have you believe, then they cannot be prosecuted for any crime they might commit within the United States. And by that reason alone their children born here are not citizens.
