I don't recall either party ever misjudging societal views as badly as Republicans did on abortion.

Sen. Lindsey Graham introduces bill to ban most abortions nationwide after 15 weeks

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced a bill Tuesday that would ban most abortions nationwide starting at 15 weeks of pregnancy.

The South Carolina senator introduced the bill less than three months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that established the constitutional right to abortion. The measure would sharply narrow abortion access in numerous states — especially blue states, which tend to have more abortion rights protections.

The legislation has little chance of passing Congress as it currently stands, as Democrats hold slim majorities in both the House and Senate.

It arrives ahead of the pivotal November midterm elections, where expectations of a Republican rout have been thrown into doubt as evidence mounts that the reversal of Roe has galvanized Democratic voters. Pro-abortion rights advocates have warned that a GOP takeover of Congress would lead to an erosion of women’s rights, and many were quick to hold up Graham’s bill as a prime example.

“Are you all ready for a nation wide abortion ban? Vote for republicans and that’s what you’ll get,” tweeted progressive activist David Hogg Tuesday morning.

While the title of Graham’s bill suggests it would bar only “late-term” abortions, it would restrict the procedure nationwide after less than four months of pregnancy, a threshold that falls within the second trimester.

Abortions are typically considered “late term” at 21 weeks of pregnancy or later, according the health-policy nonprofit KFF. But that organization notes that that phrase is not an official medical term, and that abortions at that stage are rarely sought and difficult to obtain.

That particular position is supported by most people, dude... some might even say that it is supported by a supermajority of citizens.

However, the federal government has no place legislating abortion (per that darn pesky constitution). I take issue with this bill for that very reason just as I take issue with any Demonkkkrat bill trying to legalize it. This is a state level issue, not a federal one...

Personally, I care much more about skyrocketing inflation, gas prices, food prices, heating/cooling prices, crime, creepy shit being pushed on children in indoctrination centers on the taxpayer dime, and illegal border crossings than I do about distractionary social issues such as this one. MAGA is about "the economy, stupid" (a unifying winning issue). Demonkkkrats and RINOs want to divert away from that and instead focus on divisive social bullshit. I'm not falling for it. People don't care about divisive social bullshit when they can't afford basic necessities. This is a unifying winning issue for MAGA so long as MAGA keeps hammering it home to people.

I'll give you libtards credit you've patiently spent decades making people so stupid that they thought they had a right to abortion and now don't realize they still can get an abortion. What you cum stains have done to America is evil.

If by "particular position" you mean full banning of abortion, which some Republicans were pushing until recently, then I completely disagree.

Wow you sure suck at reading and comprehension... holy hell...

Did you even read what you posted in your OP?? The "particular position" is the position that YOU put in great big large bold letters in YOUR very own OP...

Holy fuck, it's painful speaking to such a fucking retard who can't perform basic reading and comprehension...

Yes, I'm being mean but it is truly THAT fucking painful.

You seem angry. Is there anything you want to talk about?

The point of my post was to call out that the 15 week ban legislation is part of the "damage control" because it's Republicans that have largely been claiming that life begins at conception and any intentional ending of even the earliest life is killing a baby. Hence my attempt to clarify what you were referring to.

Nah. It was only a ruse to expose your dishonesty, and it worked.

Is there anything you want to talk about?
I'm talking about it right now.

The point of my post was to call out that the 15 week ban legislation
So now you know what you wrote in your OP? So it's not a reading and comprehension problem? Instead, you were being purposefully dishonest in your prior response to me? Got it.

is part of the "damage control"
What "damage control" are you talking about?

because it's Republicans that have largely been claiming that life begins at conception
Life DOES begin at conception. Fertilization has occurred. At that moment, a new living human has been formed.

and any intentional ending of even the earliest life is killing a baby.
True.

Hence my attempt to clarify what you were referring to.
What clarification is needed? Your OP was about a bill that bans abortions after 15 weeks. I responded to that OP. It is very straightforward, and you were purposely being dishonest in your response to me, as I have now exposed via my antics.

Maybe you should try decaf.
Maybe you should try honesty.

So you now admit that abortion within 15 weeks of pregnancy is "killing children"? Glad to see you "see the light" ;)

I am just trying to understand why an abortion at 12 weeks is fine, but at 15 weeks its murder. Speaking of hypocrisy!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of society isn't in favor of mass infanticide and butchering and parting out dead baby corpses, when informed of what planned parenthood really is most Americans are appalled.

its called compromise.....I doubt it will work though.....your party has even supported killing children who have survived failed abortions.......
It's also RINOs wanting to purposely sabotage the upcoming MAGA-wave by bringing up what Demonkkkrats wish to talk about (social issues) while completely ignoring the economic pain on Main Street (economy issues) that can unite all sorts of people (under the MAGA banner) who are otherwise divided on social issues.

This unification (under the banner of Main Street economics) is what the MAGA movement is all about. RINOs want this movement to fail just as much as Demonkkkrats do, as they are both one of the same... some call this the Uniparty.
