Last Tuesday, hours after a draft decision by the Supreme Court overturning the federal right to an abortion leakes, Rubio introduced the "No Tax Breaks for Radical Corporate Activism Act," which would preclude employers from receiving tax breaks for providing abortion access or gender-affirming care to their employees. I support the freedom of choice in various areas.

As one example, I support the right to choose to buy and own a car. I don't feel that I should be burdened by the costs when a person who is not me chooses to buy a car.

By the same line of thought, I don't feel that my choice to buy or own a car should be subsidized by others who will not own it.

Freedom to choose does not mean anything beyond the freedom to choose. Freedoms generally come at a price. Paying for what you choose is your problem, not mine.

You may not see it, but your car is subsidized by the government with tax breaks to the companies that brought it to you, by money given to the research and development that car required, to federal safety standards, and more.
