It's easy for a message to get lost based on who the messenger is as happened here. Sports and politics can bring out great passion and ugliness in people. Athletes have gotten death threats for messing up on the field. Just this past weekend QB Matt Cassell of the K.C. Chiefs was cheered by his home fans as he laid knocked out on the field. Look at various entertainers over time that have endorsed politicians and the responses they have gotten. This is no different except it does have obvious racial tones to it.

Singletrollken posted a quote last week that said all Republicans aren't racist but all racists are Republicans. That got a couple of 'thanks' responses from posters here. Unless you are somehow a believer that only white people can be racist the tweets back to Stacey Dash revealed some pretty ugly racial sentiment.
