so about 23% of republicans are hypocrites, and about 27% of democrats are hypocrites.

disgusting no matter how you slice it.

Though I am not surprised the edge of principle is on the conservatives side. We are a bit more stubbron.

that 56% thinks this is acceptable lets me know we are in a brave new world. Our nation is far too gone, and I don't think we can get it back. There are too many sedated people in this country.

I love so much about america, but the america I loved is having it's death rattles. There is a > 60% chance I will be leaving this country in some point in my life. I need to go to a nation with a smaller population, without so many proles.

If you have a reference to how many voted in both then that might support your point. But it is possible all the Democrats are new and only the Republicans are hypocrites or vice versa. Plus, the switch pretty clearly has to do with the White House, but apparently Republicans support big government police state as a matter of principle. The Democrats might actually find their spine again if it were not for Obama.

Don't be such a partisan douche.

Of couse. Dems support dems, and vice versa.

It's not sincerity, it's politics.

In the aggregate, sure. But that does not mean all are hypocritical or all of those opposed to the snooping are. Bernie Sanders and Ron Paul have not changed their tunes.

All that really tells you is that you should not use partisanship as the determining factor for whether this is good or bad. Unless, of course, your only interest is the politics.

Democrats then and now... Then: Bush should be burned at the stake! Now: Boy! This is good koolade! Was it made from the bathwater?

We learn that too many people care about the jersey of the man in power rather than the policy.

You assume all surveillance is the same....ITS NOT....get a freakin' clue.
Whats being done now is wrong, undeniably wrong....

Think about that as you look at the chart and what it implies....

Do you see a difference between collecting phone call data (calls made, number made to, frequency, duration) and actually listening into the substance of the calls?

"The America you loved..."

Shit just like what is happening now has been happening since the DAY YOU WERE BORN.

You want some cheese to go with that whine?

And don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya on yer way out!

Of course he doesn't. He's just another partisan hack.

Look at NOVA's post...the same partisan "it's different this time" bullshit.
