Actually, at the end of that rant by Andrew Simpson, the actual Hugh Hewitt clip is played. Simpson takes Hewitt out of context. What he says is those outside FOX's Peter Doocy who are currently White House pressers should be banned. That is, the reporters there now, not the outlets they represent per se. You get that in what he says that follows.
What followed was he claims that for four years with Biden nobody on the White House press corps outside Doocy questioned for a moment Biden's mental competence. They never questioned it. Hewitt argues that that should be seen as unacceptable and a failure of the duty of the press to question our political leadership critically and report things honestly. That is, Hewitt argues that the WH press corps outside of Doocy was complicit in covering up Biden's senility and incompetence.
While that may be something of an exaggeration, it's more true than not. Banning shouldn't be the answer but rather forcing the MSM to place reporters in the WH that will ask tough questions of a president and fairly and honestly report on what the president is doing. I don't think the same people Hewitt just blamed for covering up for Biden will be fair and honest with Trump's administration. Instead, they'll play 'gotcha,' while spinning everything and anything into a negative. That's no better than ignoring the obvious and spinning stories to help the administration as it flounders ineptly as Biden's did.
