He made it to 83, but, surprisingly is still outlived by Mel Brooks, who is still going strong at 90. Most people will remember him for Willy Wonka, and for Brooks films such as Producers and Blazing Saddles, but, my favorite was See No Evil, Hear No Evil; with Richard Pryor.

I have always loved him in Silver Streak, but no doubt Twatsky would have a stroke if he saw him in blackface with Richard Pryor.

Who he? Do you mean Buster Keaton. He was an American or some other sort of foreigner, I believe. They didn't have cinemas in my youth, only arenas where pigs ate Saxons..
