We paddled about 20-25 miles this weekend.

The first day we did 12-15 miles leaving from Wekiva Springs, going up and down the Rock Springs Run and a little ways down the Wekiva before going back up to Wekiva Springs.

We saw two deer, three gators, a raccoon near the banks and lots of different birds and turtles, of course.

The second day we did about 8-10 miles floating around the Blue Springs Run and up to Hontoon Island State Park on the St Johns River and back.

We saw dozens of manatee mostly in the run, which is a refuge for them and blocked off to all swimming and boat/kayak/canoe traffic this time of year. There was reportedly 88 in the run. We also saw 6-10 well down the river feeding, later in the day. Again, lots of birds and turtles and one very large gator from a distance.

You've posted some pretty awesome nature photos. Have you thought about selling them to a magazine?
