Romney's Party Yacht

Howey

How horribly ironic.
Gov. Mitt Romney's campaign toasted its top donors Wednesday aboard a 150-foot yacht flying the flag of the Cayman Islands.

The floating party, hosted by a Florida developer on his yacht "Cracker Bay," was one of a dozen exclusive events meant to nurture those who have raised more than $1 million for Romney's bid.

"I think it's ironic they do this aboard a yacht that doesn't even pay its taxes," said a woman who lives aboard a much smaller boat moored at the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina.

Romney's Cayman-based investments have come under fire during the campaign.

Registered in the Caymans, and flying a version of the Caymans' "civil ensign" or merchant flag, the Cracker Bay has an impressive art collection and can seat 30 for dinner.

The Cracker Bay is owned by Gary Morse, developer of the Villages retirement community. Companies controlled by Morse gave nearly $1 million to the pro-Romney Restore Our Future superPAC.

Howey, do you have to think before lying or have you lied so much that it now comes naturally to you? Just curious.

LOL

So because Mitt is on a boat that he does not own, has no responsibility for it's taxes or registration, this is news why? Liberal logic is a scary thing.

Paging John Kerry...

This guy might look familiar. Rumor has it he was the Democrat candidate for president eight years ago, back before he had his face rearranged. You may have noticed he’s been keeping a low profile these days. Probably shacked up with his sugar mama on the $7 million yacht docked in Rhode Island, where they can conveniently skip onerous Massachusetts taxes.

i owned a land yacht my freshman year of college. we called it the hoopdee.....sweet 70's ride...didn't even have FM radio. but for some reason, the idea we could seat at least 6, maybe 7 given a smaller person, made the car a hit. 14 MPG....loved it! couch for a front seat...oh my....the stories.
