This was a stunning statement by any stretch of the imagination. It is hard to take anything that emotes from this Presidency serious. Ron has been pushed over the edge of sanity by the reality that this Presidency is turning into the biggest failure and joke of any Presidency in our history.

They are not merely flialing now, they are punching at anyone who disagrees with their isnanity.

Earth to White House: Idiotic Ron Klain claims press is tougher on Biden than Trump

In a sign of just how detached from reality this White House has become, presidential Chief of Staff Ron Klain urges you to consider the idea that the press is being tougher on President Joe Biden than on his predecessor.

Klain tweeted “for your consideration” with a link to Dana Millbank’s latest Washington Post column — which warns that “the media are serving as accessories to the murder of democracy” by writing critically about Biden’s performance.

“We need a skeptical, independent press. But how about being partisans for democracy? The country is in an existential struggle between self-governance and an authoritarian alternative,” Millbank whines.

In other words, the media should set objectivity aside, lest Republicans stage a comeback. As if people can’t see for themselves that inflation is soaring, the southern border has become a joke, Biden never got around to crushing COVID as he promised and so on.

The White House, quite frankly, is stunned that the MSM is doing any negative reporting on the Biden administration. It doesn't help that Biden himself has a long history of getting angry when asked difficult questions he doesn't like be it from the press or public. The latest is the White House asking, virtually telling, Democrat friendly news outlets like CNN to start spinning the economy--which is tanking--in a more positive light.

That this has come out so quickly is just part of the shift occurring as we go forward in the electronic revolution. It is also likely to cause more negative views by the public of the administration and news outlets friendly to it regardless of what either wants.

It is fascinating how negative Biden's press has been. Same statistics bring different commentary. Part of it is the right wing autocracy now so prevalent at Fox OAN and Newsmax. This is hard to fathom for should we lose our democracy, these media stations will lose their freedoms too. Freedoms even to lie, unless the lie suits the autocrat in charge. Biden did infrastructure while Trump talked and talked and talked and did nothing. Gaslighting and dark money manage the minds of too many Americans now that the local paper and media is gone. See my piece at bottom and the OP below covers the topic well. When Fox is the most watched station your democracy is in jeopardy, the Murdochs et al care nada about your freedoms.

"The mainstream media certainly gave Trump harsh and even overtly hostile coverage. But the mainstream media only describes roughly half the media landscape. The other half of the media is a right-wing messaging apparatus that makes no effort to follow traditional journalistic norms. Republicans communicate to their base through a media that functionally operates as part of their party, while Democrats communicate to their base through a media that still exerts substantial independence."

The number one reason Biden's press coverage has been so negative is the Biden administration has really just screwed the pooch on virtually every--if not every--issue it has dealt with.

How do you spin what's happening with our southern border in a positive light?
How do you spin inflation and the price of, well, everything going up like a Saturn V moon shot in a positive light?
How do you spin the Afghan debacle and the killing of children and civilians in a drone strike, or watching people fall from an Air Force plane desperately trying to get out in a positive light?
How do you spin the seemingly endless Fauci plague that appears to never get better in a positive light?
How do you spin an energy policy that is leading to massive increases in price for energy in a positive light?
How do you spin a president and vice president having the worst popularity of any in well over half-a-century?

It goes on and on. Nothing Biden is doing is helping America or making things better. The MSM can only lie and obfuscate so much before it gets so obvious they can't go further. They've long passed that point and now they just can't avoid giving Biden negative press however mild they try to make it.

Democrats always demand double standards. That is for thee, but not for me.

The mainstream media promoted a lie filled narrative for the first two years of the Trump Presidency, nothing will EVER compare to that, no matter how much you flail and deflect. [/szie]

Part of it is the right wing autocracy now so prevalent at Fox OAN and Newsmax.

You might want to look up the definitions of words you use before you sadly misuse them. OAN and Newsmax are not mainstream news sources. :palm:

An autocracy is a system of government in which one person—an autocrat—holds all political, economic, social, and military power. The autocrat’s rule is unlimited and absolute and is not subject to any legal or legislative limitation.

One word comes to mind when I read this uneducated nonsense:

Projection
Projection is the process of displacing one’s feelings onto a different person, animal, or object. The term is most commonly used to describe defensive projection—attributing one’s own unacceptable urges to another. For example, if someone continuously bullies and ridicules a peer about his insecurities, the bully might be projecting his own struggle with self-esteem onto the other person.

Republicans communicate to their base through a media that functionally operates as part of their party, while Democrats communicate to their base through a media that still exerts substantial independence."

So let me get this straight, on the left you have CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, PBS and NBC. On the center you have Fox News. The greater half? Just stop already. :palm:

Facts are opinions now? Are you laughing at yourself? seems so.

"What is conservatism? Is it not adherence to the old and tried, against the new and untried?" Abraham Lincoln Source: February 27, 1860 Cooper Union

Ask any conservative here what Conservatism is, not some cherry-picked source that adheres to your tired beliefs. My definition? Read the Constitution in plain English: limited federal government.

You go Joe.

'Biden's Economic Performance Has Proved Unbeatable'

"No first-year president going back to Carter comes close to matching the current White House occupant’s No. 1 or No. 2 ranking in each of 10 key measures.""

Dumbest article ever. The only reason the economy loos good is due to what RED states are doing. Blue states, on the other hand, are failing miserably and their citizens appear to be fleeing in droves to RED states.

Biden doesn't have an economic agenda. It is a Fascistic progressive agenda that is being promoted along party lines.

That is the primary focus of our Constitution. But since the failure of the FDR administration, we have watched dishonest, power-hungry politicians in the Party of the Jackass usurp States rights while empowering the Fed.

It really is time for Americans to wake up and take back our institutions. We can do this with term limits on Congress, by electing politicians who believe in the Constitution and keeping the Democratic Party of the Jackass on the margins of political power.

I have a list of how to do that. It begins with term limits in Congress. Two six-year terms for the Senate. Six two-year terms for the House. Once served, you cannot switch to the other house.

Passing the Fair Tax and abolishing the Tax Code. You will be able to reduce the IRS by at least 2/3rds.

After that, start eliminating all those Departments that were not sanctioned in the Constitution. Like Education, HUD, Agriculture etc. etc.
