Ron Paul Raised $5 mil. and THIS is what he spent his money on?

Did you know he actually spent 5 million on producing that commercial? He can't even distribute it now. The only place you can see it is youtube and through piracy.

I half expected the last "actor" to wink, and give the two "thumbs ups", when he said:

"Ron Paul....he's catching on!"

LOL

What clown produced this garbage? :)

He wants smaller government, Beefy. To protect your rights. Get us out of the war in Iraq. Lower taxes! Really Republican. I know who I'm voting for.

*wink*

I'm a cunt.

If I'm not mistaken, FEC regulations will allow Paul to roll his presidential fundraising money into his congressional fundraising when he inevitably drops out of a race he never had the slightest chance of winning in the first place.

In the previous quarter his biggest expenditure was on postage stamps and mailing.

He sent out handwritten fundraising letters like this one ...

In this letter .. which looks like it was written by a 5th grader, Paul claims the UN is coming to take away our guns.

He was able to end up having more cash-on-hand than McCain because McCain is spending money running a campaign, while Paul is sitting on his like it was pirate's treasure.

Something tells me this Paul "thing" is going to have a very funny conclusion.

And no one has ever raised more through the internet.

Well, this will be a real test for how well libertarian philosophy sells then won't it? Because any viable candidate with a war chest the size of Paul's, should be able to pull in far, far, far more than 2 or 3% of the vote. Libertarians won't be able to claim they didn't have the resources, money, or marketing to sell their schemes.

Yeah those scheming Libertarians. Wanting people to actually follow the strictures of the Constitution. Wanting government to live by the conditions spelled out in the Constitution. Wanting government to recognize the ENTIRE bill of rights with out leaving out 2 or 9 because they don't believe in the majority of the American peoples ability to live according to a set of laws.

Your interpretation of the constitution. An interpretation that has long been overwhelmingly and consistently rejected by the courts, the legislature, and the presidency.

Again, you assume that your interpretation is the correct one. I largely agree with the traditional libertarian interpretation of the bill or rights, but Ron Paul is not a traditional libertarian. He's anti-choice, and his record on gay rights leaves much to be desired. And wouldn't he be against the civil rights legislation of the LBJ era?

Of course he isn't the "traditional" libertarian, because they largely don't go and register as republicans.

I think it would be great for the republican party if Ron Paul became its front runner. It may be the only way to purge the neo con grip on it which is killing it. Either way I dont think a republican has a chance of winning this next election unless the party really kicks up its cheating to a new level. If the R party kicks up its cheating to a new level they will get caught. The Republican't party is in its "last throes" so to speak.

So we will have a Democratic government who will try to pull us out of this ungodly mess the republicans have created and the economy is going to stink for years to come because of what the Rs have done. Unregulated loan industry which raped the system in any way they could and sunk the economy for years to come. Jobs shipped everywhere arround the world. Infrastructure ignored to the breaking point. A war which is bleeding our treasury.A medical system which sends the average Joe into bankruptcy when they get ill. This is the prize the Dems will win. They will have to tell Americans they will need to scarafice to fix things. They will have to raise taxes to fix everything and to try and put us back on a fiscal footing.

Four years later the Rs will come along and say 'We need a tax cut" and the idiots in the right and middle will buy it all over again.

Wanna see crappy acting? Watch a democrat or republican debate once in a while. The only thing I don't agree with Ron Paul about (so far), is a immediate pull out of Irac. I don't think he feels the radical extreemists are a big enough threat to us. They are. We got a year to go until election time---lets see what happens. I would not be suprised if Ron paul gets more votes than Ross Perot did. By the way, if Ross made it in, we would not have our economic mess cause by bad trade agreements for shareholder profit, and the peoples expense. Thats right!.

Darned history revisionist!

Hold on, you mean if enough people agree to ignore the constitution then that's what we get to do? Sweet, hurray for case law, the supreme law of the land!

Upholding the law, real law, is their job. Not picking what laws they feel they need to uphold. (libs get a bit confused here--but that is what university teaches) Our Judges ignore real law often, as do officers, and it simply is not their place to do so. It is up to a jury to decide, and they are suppose to present a verdict that is a result of obeying the law, or not obeying the law---no matter waht the real law is.

Here is an example. It is actually a federal offense (a felony) to try to get a person to disclose their SSN to you. That is a real law folks, that is never inforced.
