Rude posts and censorship

Good Luck

Seems there is a thread which is directed in an extremely rude fashion at a particular member. Sad that some have such difficulty working and playing well with others - even virtually.

Sadder still is that particular thread has 65 responses and is going strong. It gave the poster exactly what he wanted: attention and (in their minds) importance. That it is negative attention and faux importance does not matter.

When those types of threads (and or posts in other threads) get no response (consistently), then those types of threads will cease. That simple.

In short - "Don't Feed The Trolls" - it only keeps them coming back.

And add a layer or two to your virtual dermis. It's a BBS. Keep that in mind when choosing to respond to an idiotic post of no content.

Save it for responding to idiotic posts that are actually about an issue.

Personally, I can never keep myself from feeding the trolls, but that thread is one of the lowest examples of someone trolling in a long time, at least since a thread titled "can we gas the Jews now?" started on FP.
