13. No Self-Moderation of the Board. Definition: making a thread unreadable through using extra large fonts or other means to block usage of a thread/forum. Rules will be enforced by the Administration or by Staff Members... Let's be adult here....

We see too many posters violating that rule too many times without consequences.

They have been flooding threads with nonsense that contribute zero value, making threads difficult to navigate, disrupting political discussions and filling up notifications.

Thankfully it has dropped significantly since the RWNJs have disappeared since the midterms.

However two major offenders remain.

There needs something to be done about it.

Wouldn't thread banning be a form of self-moderation? That is, there are many people here that thread ban others from their posts. Isn't that self-moderation of the board?
 
Since most users here are not really that savvy with HTML and stuff, no one ever bothers to resize the photos they copy and paste.

I'm guilty, as I don't bother to re-size the ones I post either- because no one else does.

But, this doesn't have to be left up to the member, as the Forum Software could be programmed to resize all the photo's posted here to a standard size.

I bet some of the pics posted here blows up someone's cellphone somewhere? :laugh:

Let's just be thankful that Damo runs with the very best Forum software platform available. I've seen other forums use this very same platform as JPP. But he does have a lot of options to regulate things, that may not be fully utilized here yet!

Sounds like it might be, but then that's allowed. I often thread-ban known trolls and my little gang of creepster stalkers. I've never thread-banned you though. Yet. lol

Yes, I have posted pics that went to full size that embarrasses me, so I will go look for a smaller pic and replace it with one available in a smaller size- AND HOPEFULLY BEFORE SOMEONE QUOTES ME. :laugh:

But Hey- GOOD GIRL!

PS- What size is the most suitable and acceptable size for both computer and cell phone- in your opinion?
