I heard a rumour that Bu$h might offer the job of AG to Joe Lieberman. In effect, flipping control of the Senate back to the GOP and stopping stone cold any further oversight and investigations from the senate.

Well.............

Joe isn't going to go for that. You may pretend he is a Neo-Con, but the only thing he has ever agreed with Bush on is the war.

How would that flip control of the senate to the Republicans? Does CT have a Republican governer?

NO that's not the only thing. He has backed bush on Alito and Roberts, with Alito especially being a departure, and plenty of other shit like torture and wiretapping.

torture and wiretapping are all part of the "war on terror" (spoken with deep voice to sound more ominous than it really is).

Really, I'm surprised.

I'm starting to get a little sick and tired of those war mongering fuckers over in Conn, no wonder I never, and I mean never, go to Conneticut.
That and they don't consider it a felony to torture and kill animals. This is good for the war on cats, bad for anybody who doesn't want their pit bull slammed to the ground or drowned....

Actually, Damo, I'm probably one of the few liberals on this board that has cut Joe slack. I think he's a total wanker on the war. And a suck up to bush. But, having Joe is still better than having a full blown republican. Joe can be counted on to vote for children's healthcare, minimum wage increase, environmental protections, and a host of other core Democratic issues.

Anyway, other than items with the "War On Terror!" (Bumperstickers available for minimal cost). Joe is a D, he votes with them and sticks with them. I don't think he'd accept this.

Another bump.

What are you bumping for? Feeling like a bit of a drama queen today?

No, Lieberman is not going to accept the position if it were offered. A Senator who has nearly an entire term left is not going to take a hot-seat position in a lame duck adminstration that has members heading for prison.

no... ib1 started a thread on gonzalez bitching that no one had even brought up the fact that Gonzo had resigned. Damo is just proving a point. :)
