Sen Cotton is on a rant about prisoners getting stimulus checks from Biden's Covid relief bill. A bill that he voted "no" on.

What is hilarious is that prisoners also got checks from Trump's two Covid relief packages. Two measures that Cotton voted "yes" on.

Obviously, Cotton realizes that the GOP supporters are simply too dumb to figure out his hipocrisy.

It's only PORK when passed under a (D) POTUS. Otherwise it's PATRIOTIC REPUBLICANS HELPING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. :laugh:
 
Nothing wrong with calling out Cotton for his hypocrisy however if voting for a politician who is hypocrite is a sign of ineptness then why do you vote? (Or is the assumption no Democratic politicians are hypocrites?)

True, but Cotton, like many GOP Legislators, and a few Democrats, always express themselves with such a phony moralism and seeming outrage that it resembles fingernails on a chalk board

Fair enough, you dislike Republican hypocrisy more than Democratic hypocrisy. The argument of the OP is regarding the ineptness of voters to vote for hypocrites. Do you feel there are any politicians you've voted for who are not hypocrites?

Yes, several, including couple of Republicans

Are all politicians hypocrites, no, are their more Republican than Democrat hypocrites, I’d say yes, as we know, the right has no problem with stretching the facts/truth, as do some on the left, but the left doesn’t have an array of media sources who specialize in such, and that is where you’ll find the phony moralism of the likes of Cotton

Come to the Bay Area if you want to see some awesome progressive hypocrisy if you think it's lacking but that wasn't my point here. And I'm not sure what the media has to do with one being a hypocrite.

Do you have any names of politicians you believe aren't hypocrites? Because 1) I don't believe they exist (I believe we are all hypocrites to one degree or another) and 2) I'd love to read their stories

Yes I did, couple two three, even beyond the local level, but then again, I know two of them personally

The media on the right caters to politicians being hypocrites, if you want your fifteen minutes of fame just tell them what they want to hear regardless of validity and Fox will show it, the last four years proved that

And I don’t want to go to the Bay Area, been there several times, always partially judged an area by its local history museum, and San Francisco’s is awful, top floors of the public library offer more, besides, I agree with I think it was Twain who said “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco,” prefer the defined four seasons

The argument laid out in the OP is you are an inept voter if the person you voted for commits an act of hypocrisy. As stated, I think we are all hypocrites in one way or the other and politicians are no exception. However maybe you feel otherwise.

The machine operator made a mistake and makes a entry level salary. Now go yell at him and pull up with your luxury vehicle.
This one's better. The machine operator is doing the mechanics job and the guy at the loading helps run the machines as I do.
We are at least 5 people shorthanded. The finishing, cut and sew department can't handle the amount of work with fifty (50)
employees and we have to send work out to another finisher with the same amount of employees. Now pull up in your luxury car.
