I don't think Trump should be able to wrest control of war authorization authority from Congress by claiming the right to veto.

I would expect so. I think it's time they grow a spine, as Phan said, and curb this outrageous and unwarranted use of our military. It may not havew any teeth. But it's probably more symbolic of his eroding support in the MAGAT Party.
