Recall how hard they went after Gabbard for merely suggesting we leave Assad alone and get out of Syria. Hillary popped out of the woodwork and smeared her as a ‘Russian asset’. It arguably destroyed her campaign.

I think they have given up on getting rid of Assad. I think supporting our allies the Kurds and securing a 'Syrian Kurdistan', similar to the Iraqi Kurdistan, is the Goal.
