"A government-in-waiting that is prepared to take control in response to certain events".

I'd feel a lot better if Biden started telling us who was going to head certain Agencies and Departments.

Be very patient;) And prepare...this will be like living through a category 5 plus a tsunami.... Good thing Americans are tremendously resilient..

"Michele Flournoy, a former under secretary of Defense for policy, is already the frontrunner to lead the Pentagon. A number of women and people of color are also in the mix for the top job at Treasury, including Federal Reserve Governor Lael Brainard and TIAA CEO Roger Ferguson."

Michele Flournoy ... have no idea who this person is, but at least we have a name to look to if the 101st is needed.

Biden seems to be very deliberative.

"The Biden transition team has been vetting potential candidates for months and will present the president-elect with potential choices in the coming days. Biden is expected to focus first on posts involving public health and the economy, including the secretaries of the Treasury and Health and Human Services, along with West Wing personnel. The former vice president intends to be deliberative and is not likely to announce Cabinet nominations in the first week, according to an official close to the Biden team."

"Michèle Angelique Flournoy (born December 14, 1960) is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy under President Bill Clinton and the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy under President Barack Obama, serving as a principal advisor to U.S. Secretaries of Defense Robert Gates and Leon Panetta from February 2009 to February 2012.[1] During her tenure in the Clinton administration, Flournoy was the principal author of the May 1997 Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR), which advocated the unilateral use of military power in defense of US interests.[2]"

OK....Joe has always done just as he's directed......Good to know you're ready to dig in for a couple of years if necessary;)
Where's your quote from?

She sounds 'confrontational'.

"In 2020, Flournoy was in line to become Joe Biden's Secretary of Defense, should the presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee defeat Donald Trump.[22] At that time, Flournoy turned her attention to China in "How to Prevent a War in Asia; The Erosion of American Deterrence Raises the Risk of Chinese Miscalculation."[23] In this essay, Flournoy argued the US must invest in new military technologies, such as prototypes for artificial intelligence, as well as more long range missiles, escalate U.S. troop deployment to the South China Sea area: Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, and step up roving war games in Asia to show China the US has the modern technology, might and will to deter Chinese aggression. Without such ramped up U.S. military activity in the waters off China and absent the technology to ward off a Chinese cyber attack on U.S. navigation systems, Flournoy asserted the U.S. could stumble into a nuclear confrontation with China over Taiwan sovereignty.[24] In an August 2020 interview with Defense News, Flournoy favored shifting money from more traditional military expenditures to unmanned systems "that dramatically improve ... our ability to project power to defend an interest or an ally who’s under threat.”[1]"

"Following President Trump's appointment of former UN ambassador John Bolton as National Security Advisor, Flournoy criticized Bolton for seeking military solutions to virtually all foreign policy challenges, manipulating intelligence that led to the US invasion of Iraq, advocating bombing Iran's nuclear reactors even after US negotiations with Iran had halted Iran's nuclear program and calling for the US to risk a war with North Korea by militarily dismantling North Korea's nuclear weapons program.[44]"

She's NOT John Bolton, that's a Plus.

More thrilled than listening to Trump and Pompeo talk about the second Trump Administration. A bit worried Trump is still wondering around with the Nuclear Codes. :(

OK....You do remember TeamObombing/Biden...don't you?
