Should an act of expression be a crime?

Should Americans be prosecuted for expressing unhappiness with an American policy? The Nation, the people, the government, the Country?

I am very uncomfortable when a person with power starts suggesting this. Thank God for checks and balances but they are not foolproof.


Do any Trump supporters feel uncomfortable with Trump suggesting that people lose Citizenship or be put in jail for political dissent?
 
Castro did it and he has great support from many Americans. Cubans can read and all have excellent health. Why wouldn't we want that here?

It is un-American, that is why. There are things that would work, but we don't do because it is against our principals. Are you comparing Castro to Trump?

not at all......but why do you ignore Trump's freedom of expression.......you have a right to burn a flag.......he has a right to think you ought not be a citizen because of it......what you do is protected, what he did is protected........I'm uncomfortable with assholes who don't realize that.....

I'm comparing the support Castro gets from Americans to the act you are complaining about. You need to be a little more progressive.

He has a right to express his opinion, and I am not suggesting he go to jail or lose his citizenship for saying it. Did they not tech you the distinction in Paralegal school or even High School? I am saying he is unfit to be an American president. It is concerning that an American president wants to jail people for political dissent.

His desire to imprison people for political dissent does not concern you?

Can you show me where an American has supported Castro's punishment of political dissent? Can you show me where an American is supporting Castro for president of the United States?

This really gave me a chill today.

I have never understood those that want to prohibit flag-burning. It's like taking a piece of what it means to be an American away under the guise of "protecting" America.

Now, for the rest of today, we will have a bunch of liberal pundits go on TV and tell us why it's "patriotic" to burn the American flag, and lose even more support from disgusted Americans."
