Should we put journalists in jail until they release their sources for the Supreme Court of the Roe v Wade decision?

Should the publishers be imprisoned for publishing the story?

No, I don't think so. If the government starts imprisoning journalists until they reveal their sources, then we no longer have a free press.

It is, however, a huge deal, to contradict what BidenPresident said. Even bigger because the Supreme Court can't find out who did it, which seems unbelievable to me.

I suspect they know, might not be able to prove it, but I bet they know.

I agree with you about the journalists.

No.

But do not expect us to believe they do not know who did it.

However, the cost of all this is they now have to make a new secure process for managing these documents.

I’m glad to see nobody wants the journalists locked up…. Nobody other than Trump.

Of course they know. You're watching the same news that I am.

The 'investigation' never even bothered to question justices or their wives/husbands.

Its clear to me it was Thomas or Alito, trying to cement the draft.

The leak makes little sense. What benefit was there to Alito or the other loons?

It immediately riled up 70% of the nation and gave them a jump on political organizing.

Absolutely not. For all we know at this point, it was leaked anonymously. Alternatively, the investigation revealed the leaker (Ginni *cough cough* Thomas) but will protect him/her by claiming that they don't know. Because if it *was* a justice or spouse of a justice, that justice would need to go away. That would leave the (D) POTUS to appoint a new one.

They do not care about the politics, their life's work was getting R v. W overturned, it cemented the draft digging in the heals of anyone who was wavering. It let the powers that wanted it overturned know that it was likely to happen if nobody backed out.

It also gave the states a heads' up to prepare new anti-abortion legislation and have it ready to go into effect the same day the decision was officially released.

All of those were already in place.

Conversely, it gave states like NY and others a heads up to codify abortion protections.

And the aforementioned heads up to organizers who successfully made this a mid term issue. I'll bet donations poured in the moment the draft was leaked.

Which, given the illegal stacking of the court, was pretty predictable anyway.
