The forum's resident cop-hater seems to think not, judging by this:

...I hold the 2nd Amendment in the highest regards for citizens. It's government personnel that shouldn't have that right.

So the Constitution excludes "government personnel" from bearing arms?

yes. the constitution was written to restrict government, protect the rights of we the people. not grant government personnel 'right's.

it's funny that you find advocating police accountability is cop hating.

Sensationalism, we all believe in cop accountability. Although police corruption isn't as rare as I would like, it is also not as common as you would have us believe. I would venture to claim, all on here want the cops to be fair. My family was full law enforcement and none were corrupt.

There's a lot....and I mean A LOT of Appalachian Americans where I live. A police officer would have to be suicidal not to carry a gun!!!!

but i'm betting that none of your family would intervene against another cop while they were beating a handcuffed suspect.

I bet they would. When my uncle died all we heard was how fair a sheriff he was. My other uncle was equally as well thought of and I can't imagine my cousin standing by and watchin someone get beaten. You don't have anything to back up your comments, and it was terrible for you to judge people you don't know.

while there are always exceptions to every rule, how many videos would you like to see where one or more cops were brutalizing non violent citizens while the rest of the cops kept the others back who would come to their aid?

STY reminds me of someone who we had in our little city.

He ran for city council and won a seat. The next thing is, he's trying to dismantle our PD and replace it with the Sherriff Department.
During a debate, the "reason" was discovered.

A few years back, he came home and found that someone had stolen two 3-wheelers from his shed. He called the Police, then told him to stay there, and they would be by to take a statement and file a report.
WELL; he decided to leave and go look for the 3-wheelers by himself. The Police came, he wasn't there, they had no way of contacting him, so they left.

Hours later he showed up at the Police Station and was ranting and raving that the Police should have stayed there and waited until he came home.
The 3-wheelers were never recovered and this was the reason he wanted to disband our entire Police Department.

His attempt failed and he was recalled.

It appears that STY has a "bone to pick", just like the other idiot.

By his reasoning, all automobile drivers should be arrested; because a percentage of them have caused accidents where people have died.
Same logic could be used for Doctors, Hospitals, Fire Departments, and other organization that you want to whitewash with a large brush.

yes, I do have a bone to pick. It's with idiot conservative 'law and order' types who prefer being told what to do and when instead of being free to decide for themselves. It also has to do with liberal fraidy cats who are terrified of others who are capable of deciding for themselves whats best. Then there's the two of them together who prefer the citizenry be given zero tolerance while government agents get cut slack and second chances, all the while talking a great game about holding police to a higher standard. It's retards like that which provides me a bone to pick.

You're so full of shit.
By your comments, you would lke to make it appear that Police Officers are never held responsible for their behaviors or actions and then you do nothing but try to tear down those who try to tell you that your posts don't show the entire picture, but only a small segment of it.
Why don't you post your job, so that someone can spend the time finding articles that do nothing but attempt to denigrate the all who hold the same position as you; by referring to those who fuck up.

I know, lets start posting articles that only talk about Militia members that have acted like asses.

Take your agenda, polish it up nice and bright, turn is sideways, and shove it up your ass.

must have struck a nerve. i know you like to believe that your 'noble' profession is full of fine upstanding holier than thou types, but the reality is you're all full of shit. i've seen enough bullshit from LEO types excusing their compadres behavior with the farcical response of not seeing all of a video or not knowing what happened before the incident. it's crap. there's a reason that some jobs out there are called 'professional' jobs. It's because they should be done by professionals. something I know a bit about since my job in the USMC was a 'professional' job.

No nerve, just an attempt to provide you with logic and common sense; but then, I can't cure stupid.
And you have just shown why you're full of shit.
You go from one extreme to the other, all the while ignoring what anyone else offers.

Pleae carry a card with you, askng someone to contact JPP when you end up being either arrested or shot while resisting arrest.
But then; you're a coward and nothing more then a computer commando.

If you were ever in the USMC, it's become apparent that you were given a dishonerable discharge for failure to conform.

it's funny that you find advocating police accountability is cop hating.
it's funny that you find advocating police acountability to be the same is hating on everything cops do, the government does, and people who think laws are important.

Your normal stance seems to be somewhere between "I have unlimited rights" and "The government is evil incarnate and wants to watch me sleep" and I will tell you, nobody wants to see that.

while there are always exceptions to every rule, how many videos would you like to see where one or more cops were brutalizing non violent citizens while the rest of the cops kept the others back who would come to their aid?
And how many times is somebody going to video a cop doing the right thing? It's like saying that only murderers and druggies exist in the country because those are the only people we hear about on the news. How many times have you personally dealt with the police? How many times have they beaten you to death? How many times have they shot you? How many times have they planted drugs on you?

Most people get angry at cops because they got pulled over when they were speeding in a school zone, or when they were driving drunkenly at two in the morning. Then they go around complaining about how the cop was a prick. And these are the same people who complain that the cops didn't stop the man who ran over a four year old.

As for disarming the cops, have fun the next time a man takes a baseball bat to his wife, or a gangbanger sticks up a store, the cops aren't going in there, shit they might die, wait for "SUPER STY" with his gun to show up.

Funny thing is, they aren't there often enough as is.
It's a problem of manpower, time to get there, and it just beingg reported. information based on the Uniform Crime Report, published yearly by the FBI and the National Crim Victim Survey, published by the Bureu of Crime Stastics indicate that only half of all victimizations are even reported to the police. Half, reported. Think about that.
