Sigh....Brits move to BAN Glass

Apparently there are a couple of new shatterproof pint glasses that are heading toward being trialled in pubs shortly. I really don't have a problem with this as you still get to drink out of a proper glass and you won't notice any difference from the current glasses.

I really do have a problem being asked to drink out of a bloody plastic beaker.

I don't see why you safety conscious brits just don't go all out and require twizzlers for straws, that way you can't get a paper cut when you drink from the new cups.

I don't know why 'laughing in the face of danger' Americans don't insist their windscreens are made from plate glass.

Dude....

I know it's pretty common to find sensationalist articles about what crazy thing the Brits are looking to do next. But seriously? Banning Glass bottles?

Beer glasses made from polycarbonate have been around for at least 25 years, not so much in pubs but in clubs and music venues. I've seen people who have been "glassed" by some drunken arsehole and it's not pretty.
