Agreed Hillary should have been charged and I've said so many times in the past on JPP. Still, two wrongs don't make a right. All the MAGAts are doing is proving they are hypocrites and just as bad as the Democrats they condemn.

Hillary's was intentional. The fact the FBI couldn't provide enough evidence to prove it in court, at least according to the DOJ, doesn't absolve Hillary's actions.

No, he shouldn't. President Reagan let his AG because he put the needs of the nation ahead of his loyalty to a friend. GW did the opposite and now Trump is doing the same.
The only reason Hegseth still has a job is because he will do whatever Trump tells him. That will come in handy if Trump declares martial law before the 2026 Midterms.
However, the reality, bad actors had access to Hillary's server, unknown and uncontested for years, it is far more detrimental to security than some dude supposedly including his wife in a conversation.
Basically, I am measuring by damage. How many people lost their lives because she left HUMINT open on her server? As Sec of State she had far more HUMINT than most.... How much SCI was compromised? Will we ever know because she scrubbed it trying to remove damaging evidence before handing over the server?
I don 't know about "best choice", who would you consider the "best choice" (remember that Trump won so he is going to pick, so there will be no time that it will be a leftist hero)?
He's using an app (poorly and should stop if he can't get it right) that folks in CIA and other departments have used for years due to its encryption.
Though if he sucks this much at tech he needs to stop using it, it doesn't seem to be a measure against his effectiveness in the job as of yet.
This last one I don't even know if it is true. I will wait to judge based on the same measure I use with HillBillary.... Who had access to the info, for how long, and what kind of info is it? All of these things can be mitigating or incriminating.

Hence the problem of our officials using unsecure methods of communication: hostile forces will target them for hacking. Since Vlad's army of hackers proved they did exactly that on Hillary, is there any doubt they've done it to all US officials regardless of political affiliation?
Who knows? The point being that our officials should be held accountable, not just play the blame game so they can keep doing this.
I am measuring the intent to discuss the Decretary of Defense's ability and temperment for the job.

Yeah, but I wasn't the one that brought up HillBillary here now, was I? Someone is trying to pretend that this is the same thing as years of unknown exposure of far more classified information than time sensitive plans and that it mitigates what she did.
I get what folks are saying, and if this is true it matters and Heggseth should do better if he is to keep his job, but it is by no means the "same thing" as dropping SCI onto unencrypted servers.
You were the one that brought up Hillary. I get why you want to stop talking about it. Three folks being "in the room" when they discussed something as opposed to her unencrypted server, even you can tell the difference.

My opinion. I will wait and judge when I have more information. The same thing I say regardless of who the story is about until I have enough information to make a judgment.
So far, holding a conversation where three total folks that shouldn't be in electronic "earshot"... I'm not certain it is enough to fire him over, but man would I be pissed and I'd be having someone go through is phone to see if he's done it other times we didn't know about.... If I were President I would absolutely tell him, behind the scenes of course, that if it happens even one more time he'd burn so bad that he wouldn't even be able to get his job back at Fox News.
He needs to do better, he'd better adjust quickly, even Trump doesn't have the patience or "loyalty" necessary to deal with this for long.

Hegseth is unfit to serve as SecDef and not just because of his security lapses. Our military personnel need to believe their leaders have their best interests at heart.
Hillary should have been censured but wasn't because she was the Democratic nominee and, literally, owned the DNC. By giving her a pass, the Democrats set a precedent just like they did for Slick Willy and his abuses of office.
IMO, a direct line can be drawn from Bill Clinton to Donald Trump in terms of abuses of office, not being held accountable for political reasons and destroying the trust of American voters in the integrity of their elected leaders.
That said, We, the People, still need to focus upon the present even if we seek to learn from past mistakes.

Hegseth has nothing to do with Hillary. If you think she did wrong, then comparing Hegseth to her confesses that you think he did wrong.
