What happened between Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch?​

In June 2016, Clinton met Lynch on board her Justice Department jet while it was parked in Phoenix, Arizona.

Lynch was the Attorney General - the US government’s chief lawyer - and Clinton’s wife Hillary was running against Donald Trump for the presidency.

It was alleged the two were discussing an ongoing investigation into Hillary’s use of a private email server as Secretary of State under Barack Obama’s administration.

Lynch denied the conversation was about the Clinton email controversy and claimed they were discussing personal matters.


The attorney general maintained the former US leader 'asked about her trip' and was discussing the Brexit vote, which happened four days earlier.

Lynch also insisted that she tried to exit the conversation but Clinton 'continued talking'.

The allegations of malpractice were never proved, although it did substantial damage to Clinton’s presidential bid as she lost to Trump in a shock defeat.

I get what folks are saying, and if this is true it matters and Heggseth should do better if he is to keep his job, but it is by no means the "same thing" as dropping SCI onto unencrypted servers.

You commented upon it which is enough. Not the first time either. LOL Nothing, IMO, mitigates what she did. She should have been held accountable and wasn't. Failing to hold our leaders accountable is what got us Trump and the present state of American politics.

I doubt Hegseth can do better since he lacks the skills and experience for such a massive task.

I would have condemned it regardless of the political party in power. The protection of our troops comes right under protection of our nation. Hegseth failed in both.

If Hegseth had any integrity, he'd resign. If Trump had any integrity, he'd fire Hegseth if Hegseth didn't resign first. Obviously neither will happen since both are only in this for power and wealth, not for the nation much less the protection of our military personnel.

Whataboutism always pops up in every thread about Trump administration malfeasance. Democrats have done it too, but MAGAts take it to an entirely new level. One that involves blatant incompetence, oath-breaking and corruption.

It shows AGAIN that he blabs classified information repeatedly and stupidly. He is unqualified for the job Trump gave him. he is the head of the Defense Department. If he is blabbing classified info, he will lose respect from real soldiers. He is setting terrible example.
