The top two look a bit like eyeballs and the orange one is hard to read... Other than that they look pretty good.threadjack!!
Hey Damo, I recently got paint.net and I'm playing with gradients trying to make shiny buttons and such. Do these look decent? I'm doing it with MSpaint and then filtering with irfanview for the final blurring. What do you think. Should I get adobe or are these good enough? I want them to look professional.

translation: yeah there are like 5 things wrong with them but other than that it's good
That's not bad considering you are using Paint they are absolute genius...heheh
I was just looking for some feedback. He right too. They are fricken huge. I thought they were spheres, but I could see them being buttons if resized.
here's some new buttons I'm making for a slide show. They will light up really cool using a white background and changing the opacity slowly when you mouse over them. I have the script working but i'm too lazy to upload it right now LOL

be honest. are they cheesy or do they look decent. Or both? LOL I'm simply mimicking stuff I've seen. I got zero instruction and I'm doing them totally ass backwards. instead of using layers I used paint and cut selections from paint.net which I used to make the gradients.
Yes, that's about the right size...OK here they are smaller, as requested and with the light up effect. This page is for mozilla only because I'm doing the css right in the image tag. Simple shift was cool enough.

Should they be even smaller? LOL I value your opinion. I have a bias for flashy bright sites but I know that it must turn off many people who just want a clean web surfing experience without being assaulted by endless graphic eye candy. But I also want anything I do to look up to date and not like I used a template from 1998.
What do you think? Seriously. Are they passe? has the shiny era passed already and I'm beating a dead horse? You might have a better ear for the trends than I get surfing graphic sites and javascript coding pages.
thanks again , Damo. I appreciate any feedback.
