So how would a Russian govern the United States of America?

Mineral Man has a new post discussing how the buffoon-in-chief and his sycophants are dismantling the social safety net:

I keep thinking about how the US would be "governed" if an actual Russian were elected president, or installed as president in a coup. And I can't help but conclude that trump is "governing" precisely how an enemy of the United States would govern.

Dismantling government agencies.

Attacking - financially, politically, emotionally, specifically minorities.

Attacking and discrediting agencies that he can't dismantle.

Ensure that government agencies and their cabinet secretaries do precisely the opposite of what they are expected to do.

Install judges who will continue the attacks long after the dictator, and maybe even the republican party if they get out of line, is gone.

Attack all allies and endorse Russia and Putin.

Destroy the NATO alliance.

Enact a budget that increases the deficit and hampers future, rational, presidents for undoing the damage that is being done.

Perhaps my mythical Russian leader, or my less mythical Russian asset in the White House, would be more subtle. That is why intelligence assets are directed to behave - with subtlety.

With today's advocacy for Russia to rejoin the G-7, to return to the G-8, there is no question left at all that he is a Russian asset.

He has destroyed American alliances.
He has destroyed American businesses.
He has increased the chasm between the wealthy and the poor.
He has exacerbated, deliberately, racism, sexism, LGBTQ discrimination, religious enmity.

Call it paranoia, but I truly believe that he is nothing more or less than a Russian asset carrying out Russian directives.

Trump is not that intelligent, which of course makes him the perfect tool. I agree with the various intelligence agencies -- and not just the U.S. ones -- who believe that Putin/the Russians have some serious dirt on Trump. As we've seen over the years, Trump has no problem consorting with gangsters, questionable people, Russian mafia, and other criminals in order to get what he wants. He believes that he is above the law. Apparently so do his apologists and sycophants.

Un-ironically hysterical screaming about "muh Russian agents." Holy shit, what is this, CNN? Seriously, this whole Cold War 2.0 thing is getting out of hand, and the people who advocate this russophobic bullshit are the most brainwashed, robotic shills on the planet.

I don't think a Russian would govern the United States the ways you are supposing here.

I think a Russian with notions to rule the US would find a dumb American patsy who wants to be president...lead him into a situation that would be ruinous if revealed...then help him become president and "make suggestions" about how to do things. Then when the dumb American patsy ruins the country...just come in an take it over.

That's what I think a crafty Russian would do.

Mueller just charged obstruction to Manafort and Kilminic , his Russian pal. Sorry, but Russian /Trump crimes are real.

I'm sorry, so beyond his mannerisms and rhetoric, what's all that different?

America has no problem consorting with gangsters, questionable people, Russian mafia, and other criminals in order to get what it wants, including partnering with Saddam, Osama, al Qaida, al Nusra, ISIS and the Wahabist Islamist Saudis. This includes toppling democratically elected leaders of other nations, interfering in the elections of others, targetted assassinations (yes, Obama and Hillary), genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza and Yemen.

I am guessing Russia would govern the US by moving everybody who was anybody from that shithole that oscillates from being an ice rink and a swamp to here, and moving anyone here who objects to the shithole that oscillates from being an ice rink and a swamp.

So how would a Russian govern the United States of America?

First they would gain control of a candidate like they did with Hillary Clinton. Thank God Hillary lost.

Putin would want the US to screw up NATO and to bust up the world order of the G7. Trump is doing exactly that. He is turning our friends into strangers and our enemies into friends. He has done nothing about preventing the Russians from meddling again. Actually his non action is inviting them in. It is more than Trump blowing Putin. He is acting on Puitins plans.

Trump had to be forced over his own objections to act every time. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/4/16/17242484/nikki-haley-trump-russia-sanctions-syria
