Ernie Harwell, long time broadcaster for the Detroit Tigers, died yesterday at age 92 of an inoperable malignant tumor. He has been described as the nicest man people ever knew, including by my own husband. If BAC reads this, I know that he will concur.

I'm deeply saddened. I heard Sparky is not doing to well either. If he passes that will be a sad, sad day for Reds and Tiger fans.

Gotta love a great baseball broadcaster. I grew up listening to one of my own, and these guys really do bring joy into many people's lives! RIP
