The Socialist JPP Debate Championship is neither an honor nor a dishonor. I always give it to the person I decide that is most unexpected. If I simply always gave it to the people I hate the most, that clearly wouldn't work. The first year, I gave it to myself. The next, I gave it to PMP. If I had given it to Dixie this year, you may have a point. But Tom is not a Dixie or a PMP. Perhaps next year I'll give it to myself again? Or Grind? Or Cawacko? Or Lowaicue? Or rana?

If by "next to", you mean "lives in a state that neighbors a state that has swamps, which are a few hours driving distance from them", I suppose I do live "next to" a swamp. However, despite frequent lobbying from residents all across the county, we have yet to start or complete the water purification plant, and hundreds of miles of pipeline to Louisiana's swamps necessary to replace our own perfectly adequate water source, Flynt Creek reservoir, with purified swamp water.

I suppose it seems to say something about me that, on a site where I often make threads simply to announce that I'm drunk, I being hit by a hurricane comparatively important enough to warrant similar treatment. Isaac never even knocked out my power, though. I've honestly experienced worse thunderstorms. It just won't stop raining, and half the city's shut down due to this pathetic "hurricane", so I can't even go about my business*.
