Some Trump Voters Already Regret Their Decision Amid Concerns Over Tariffs, Job Cuts, and Rising Costs

Data from Google Trends provides insight into this emerging phenomenon. In the hours surrounding the election, searches for terms like “change my vote” and “are tariffs bad” surged, particularly in key battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. Meiselas pointed to these searches as an indicator of the swift realization among voters about the potential consequences of Trump’s trade policies. For example, many Trump supporters mistakenly believed that tariffs would financially impact foreign producers rather than U.S. businesses and consumers—a misconception now being addressed as businesses adjust to expected cost increases.

It also seem many if not most don't (or didn't until it was explained to them) understand that tariffs aren't paid by the foreign companies but by the US purchasers.

Companies are already laying off or cutting back in anticipation of lean times to come.

This is hilarious on multiple levels. For starters this is a progressive anti-Trump PAC. Secondly, the claim that people voted then decided after the fact "let me go do some research on what the candidates stand for" doesn't pass the sniff test. And in a matter of three days companies just started laying off workers as a result. Funny.

That's not even a feelgood moment. This will be sweeping the nation two years from now, but trump has already forgotten all but the wealthiest voters in the nation.

Many regretted their vote the first time, as seen by the '18, '20, '22 elections.

The stupid is strong in this nation.

People are stupid.

That's the whole issue here.

Sure, millions of American think millions of other Americans are stupid based on how people voted. It may be one of the most bi-partisan thing we have going. (Reminds me of one of my best friends, brilliant guy who went to Harvard Law who says 90% of Americans are idiots - and it has nothing to do with how people vote - so yeah, a lot of stupidity going around it seems)

But the idea that people paid no attention to any political races whether on the news, social media or the ballot book we get mailed to us throughout the entire election season, voted and then decided to research the people and issues after the fact and determined they didn’t like what they voted for?

Again, doesn’t pass the sniff test.

Nope. All we have are unhinged TDS-afflicted never-Trumpers projecting their regret for being so gullible as to OBEY their DNC thought-masters and to blindly follow the absolutely worst candidate selections possible at this time on planet Earth.

Well it doesn't matter Trump got in and we all will have to put up with what he dose ,
They got what they wished for now the shit show begins.
Dream on. You had no complaints about Trump's execution of his official duties as President four years ago and you don't expect to have any complaints over the next four years.

You are just unhinged that everything is going to go well for you and everyone, and you now fear that you won't have anything about which to bitch/gripe/complain.

Well for your info I did have complaints about Trump.
For one thing was he " tax cut" that cost me another 1500 a year.
And as I said we will have to wait and see if he does even 1/3 of what he says he want to do because IF he does it will be the end of the USA as we have known it all our lives.

People are stupid, why would you research after you voted? Intelligent people research before they vote.

Gonna be fascinating when he suddenly 'knows' about Project 2025

Yep.
Trump says he has nothing to do with it and now is putting the major backers / writers of the 2025 project BACK into his cabinet.
Many of them were there before and influenced him back then and will do the same thing this time.
Project 2025 will be the end of the USA as we have known it all our lives.
I can see the new pledge of allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the UN-UNITED states of America, to the dictatorship for witch it stands, one nation under GOD with liberty and justice for some.

Which tax cut? The ones that Trump pushed through Congress only reduced your taxes. I'm not buying your absurd assertion that a tax cut somehow cost you money.

And as I said we will have to wait and see if he does even 1/3 of what he says he want to do
... and as I said, of course we will have to wait because that's how "the passage of time" works.

... because IF he does it will be the end of the USA as we have known it all our lives.
Well, I suppose that eliminating the IRS will accomplish that, and it will be a very good thing.
