Hello.
I started this topic with a line from a very famous song of the end of the USSR.
This is the song "chained together" by the rock band Nautilus.
An interesting moment, rock music, especially punk rock in the USSR was not the lot of marginals, but educated people, because the lyrics of these musical groups entirely and completely consisted of the Aesopian language, because criticism, sarcasm and ridicule of Soviet reality could not be published under any guise except for the Aesopian language in the verses of the songs. Therefore, the listener had to have intelligence and education to understand the author.
This is a really interesting time in the USSR, it is interesting to study and understand, but it's not about that.
I have been communicating on American forums for a long time and for a very long time I did not understand many cultural moments.
For example, I was sincerely and absolutely convinced that there is no racism in the modern USA, well, that is, of course, somewhere among the marginals and misfits, but there is no racism among the absolute respectable majority... I was convinced of that. Because I read the forums and it would seem I saw the thoughts of people who denied any hatred of another race.
However, a little over a year ago, I started communicating with Americans in chatroulette, I think even those who do not use this resource understand what I'm talking about ... and I realized that American society today is a kind of analogue of the late USSR. For racism and hatred were so frequent that it is difficult to describe. I realized that Americans have one opinion for social networks, forums, etc., where they should be anti-fascists, condemn racism, etc. and there is another opinion, a little more sincere, for the kitchen, where their anonymity is absolute, where a one-on-one conversation with an unknown Russian.
And this is an extremely interesting phenomenon.

Hey Fabius, nice to see you back here :-). I agree that there is a lot of racism and unfortunately, the mainstream media and the corporate elites that run it are actively encouraging it when it comes to Russia right now.

What do you find so weird about communicating with Americans in American forums?

Never heard of it. Get out Russian troll.

Oh boy -.-. A word of advice Fabius, you may want to thread ban Concart in any subsequent threads you make as I do. He's someone I've found just isn't worth the grief he tends to put into threads where he's decided that the thread starter is a "troll".
