Stock market on a Tear

I sold BIDU, up $30 today alone
sold apple, and goldman. Waiting for a pullback here with about 25k
 
yah i got about 3% in cash now. want to get that up to about 15% i think in next couple days just increase of an October buying opportunity.
 
Im looking for EMC to go to 23 or so short term and 30 by end of year. got alot in there. cost basis of 15. Held VMW IPO and dumped at like 60.. kicking myself now that a month latter its at 90

why would i ever want to kill myself? i could loose my entire portfolio of money and still be ok because im a hard worker.
 
Ohh not you in particular Chap. I was mostly targeting topper.
But if the market crashes there will be some, there always is.
 
I think someone that kills themselves does it over allot more deep routed issues then loosing money.
 
right, they lose themselves in the prusuit of money and all their self esteem hinges on posessions rather than what they really are.
 
Greater wealth means more to lose or be taken, and consequently the wealthy are more involved in politics. When you have more at stake, you make a greater effort to ensure the country is successful. Each of us who takes such an interest to debate here probably has something worth defending. Chap, Top, and Grind are constant opponents of the death tax and the capital gains tax because they stand to benefit from it. Alex/Jarod supports the right to hold companies accountable because it benefits him.

I think everyone who debates here has some compelling reason to take interest in where the ship is going if we own a room or two in it, or in chaps case a floor.

Except USC and wanderingbear. I do think that they may just be hobos who use library computers all day to stay warm.
