Several news reports indicated Sunday that House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) had not been notified in advance about the successful raid on the hideout of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the so-called “Islamic State,” or ISIS.

President Donald Trump confirmed in remarks to the press Sunday after his address to the nation that he had deliberately kept some congressional leaders out of the loop, without naming Schiff directly.

“We notified some; others are being notified as I speak,” Trump said.
​

“We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like I’ve never seen before,” Trump said. “There is no country in the world that leaks like we do and Washington is a leaking machine.”

Trump said that U.S. forces would have been placed in greater danger due to leaks in Washington tipping off the terrorists.

“A leak could have caused the death of all of them,” Trump said.

More importantly, anything Diarrhea Mouth Pelosi and Vomit Schumer learn about a planned military raid is immediately reported to the United Nations. In that way the U.N. leaking to the press is the best guaranty of anonymity Democrat leakers will ever get. No newspaper or TV network will ever out a Democrat leaking to the U.N.

Trump was asked how U.S. forces were certain the person who died was al-Baghdadi.

"So, that's another part of the genius of these people. They brought his -- they have his DNA. More of it than they want, even. And they brought it with them with lab technicians who were with them. And they assumed that this was Baghdadi. They thought, visually, it was him. But they assumed it was him, and they did a site -- an onsite test. They got samples," Trump said.

Identifying the bodies of dead terrorists like bin Laden and al-Baghdadi always remind me of John Steinbeck’s screenplay for the 1952 movie Viva Zapata! where Steinbeck took a slap at the Christian belief in the Resurrection.

If you remember the movie you will recall that Mexican Army troops ambushed and shot Zapata so many times the body was beyond identification. While bullets were still being pumped into Zapata’s corpse, Zapata’s white horse runs away as the guy in charge of the ambush hysterically screams “The horse, the horse ... shoot the horse.”

Who knew that “. . . an onsite test.” would eliminate the need to shoot the horse! The best Pelosi & Company can do is tell us that ISIS is stronger because al-Baghdadi is dead.

Putting traditional religious beliefs down was a clever way to raise Socialism higher. To this day Socialist intellectuals love Viva Zapata! because it painted Jesus’s Resurrection as a superstition.

NOTE: The Ministry of Propaganda’s addiction to politically correct speech now prohibits Hollywood screen writers from using Steinbeck’s technique against non-Christian religions — including Socialism.
