Team A and Team B are meeting in the playoffs. The smart money is on Team A, they are a strong but not prohibitive favorite. But fans of Team B are fanatical, almost rabid, and they claim before the series even starts that the only way they could lose is if the other team cheats. They claim the bookies are making up the odds so that Team B will be discouraged and not try hard, and that if the betting line was accurate, Team B would be favored to win in a rout. Team A wins the series easily, and then the fun begins.

Team B claims cheating. They have no real evidence, but their fans have signed affidavits that they saw players tampering with equipment and taking illegal substances. The owner of Team B is on board with the cheating claims. He protests the series and demands an investigation, but the commissioner, who was appointed by Team B's owner, says the claims are BS. That doesn't stop the owner and his fans. They claim the referees were in on it, even though those referees were also selected by Team B. They claim the bookies fixed the result. They claim that sports journalists all hate Team B and are covering up the cheating plot. They hear rumors that the Team B is going to be declared the winner. They even go so far as to storm the league offices to convince league officials that there was cheating.

Does anyone see how absolutely fucking stupid this is?

And then Team B uses their influence with the commission to change the rules for the next match-up to make it more difficult for Team A's fans to even get into the stadium.

Sounds like a bunch of leftist cunts I read about who insisted that team B colluded with Russians to win the game. There was no real evidence just players from team A whining and pissing their pants.

And have an 'independent' investigation of the game film, run by the fans of Team B.
 
Meanwhile, the cheerleaders for Team A and Team B have been totally exploited and, despite being the best of the best, are working for less than minimum wage. Instead of striking, they banded together and threatened to file lawsuits if their pay was not raised to reflect how big a part they play in the highly profitable venture. The court granted them class action and forced the two sides into negotiations. The Teams pretend to negotiate, but offered a pittance, which the cheerleaders naturally refused.

The dispute has never been resolved.

'Negotiations' are ongoing.

And THAT is why you don't see cheerleaders on TV coverage of NFL games any more.

Some Russians were indicted for their interference--that is some evidence. But we have no evidence any votes actually changed.

What are your "facts" that refute any of that evidence? You don't have any because you haven't read any of the evidence, you just repeat what you are told because you don't like reality.
